Tracking Accuracy on a Graph
I am a special education teacher. I would like to be able to have a graph that tracks date vs accuracy for goals.
12 votesExcellent suggestion. Have you played with our current Reports page at all yet?

Color coded events?
It would be great if we could color code the events. That would help be able to differentiate between behaviors at a glance. I have a student who has his behavior level reported every half hour. It would be nice if the colors could correspond to his behavioral chart. (green, yellow or red zone)
3 votesGreat suggestion!
We do plan to offer some customization of labeling with icons and colors, and it’s really helpful to know how these might ideally correlate to another system you use already. In the interim, one way you can visually differentiate at a glance is to give each it’s own Activity Type (rather than all under Behavior). If you record them as ‘High Behavior’ – ‘Medium Behavior’ – ‘Low Behavior’ it will not only make for quick logging, but you will get a different icon for each, making them easier to differentiate visually.
This will also translate to the Reporting options.Hope this helps, and thank you for sharing!

Update website time picker
To expedite the process of tracking events on the website, I would like the default time picker to work in increments of 15 minutes following the pattern in the iOS app.

I would like it if we could focus on a certain part of the day during reports.
For example, if I notice a lot of things happening from 1-3, I would like to be able to "zoom" into that time so I can see what all is going on and not be overwhelmed by everything else on the report. I can choose the date range, yes, but I would also like to choose the range for the Y-axis. :)

Add activity for more than one person
I would love to be able to add an activity for more than one person at a time, for example, when we all eat a meal together, be able to add it to more than one person at a time instead of having to do them individually.
6 votesGreat suggestion!
We definitely will ad this, although I don’t have a timetable, at the moment. -
ieps and therapies

Add the ability to tag entries to more easily correlate them
It would be great to have the option to add tags to entries like "vacation" or "school" to allow users to link disparate entries together with one searchable term. This will help users find entries that relate to each other and can help identify longer term trends that would be hard to pick out using just activity types. Right now we can do it by adding a keyword to the entries but having it be a tag field that can be clicked on in an entry to search by would make Birdhouse far more powerful in my opinion.
3 votesThis is a great suggestion and definitely some we intend to do. We have some more basic things already in the works that have priority, like adding support for attaching files and more, but we’ll definitely get there

Change the order of scheduled items
Reverse the order of daily scheduled items so morning is on top and evening is on the bottom.

Conditions / Body / Injuries
I'd be curios to hear how people are tracking conditions (e.g., eczema) and things like bruises. My daughter goes in and out of eczema attacks and it's be interested to look at them over time to see if there are correlations to anything.
Could just add note but wondered if there were activities set up already for conditions and/or injuries.

Collaborator roles and permissions
I would really like to use this to have my son's care team collaborate more effectively. And, I know that there are some things that I might put in BirdHouse that I would still want private. Could you add in permission levels, either by object (note / file / etc) and/or by user so that I can restrict access to some things?
For example, if I were to keep track of IEP notes, I might not want my actual IEP team to see everything that I have written.
7 votesWe agree, this feature is very important and is something we are currently working to provide. We’ll update this as we make progress on it.

I'd like to have a note type for Care Reflection
Would you like to be able to enter notes about reflection on how things are going with your care, how you are feeling, how far things have come, what you have learned, etc?

Simple Report Types (for me) and more so for my Kid's Doctor
- Export is NOT working for me. Sure I can export to excel and also to word..BUT..unfortunately it just shows formatting errors. Much better to export into a .pdf which can then be emailed to my kid's therapist?. 2 Better still, if the export could create a LINK which the therapist could click and view the report generated by me? 3. Can we do line graphs and piecharts..yeah not as cool as funny face icons, but great for Left brain types :-(

Collect notes when the person you're caring for spends time with someone else
If/when you know they will be with someone else– a friend, caregiver, family member, etc– you can create and use an Activity Type called 'Visit' to log an upcoming activity, and use the person's name in the description.
This would record at least that your care recipient was with them during that time, and then you can try to make a point of always having notes in there about their time together.
This way if you see one that is blank, it might serve as a reminder to ask them about it, and even if you don't have notes, you'd…

More than just Therapists
I'd like a different term for the category "Therapists", maybe Care Team or just Contacts. I would like to keep contact information for everyone involved in my child's care, not just therapists; teachers, caregivers, doctors, etc.
5 votesWe now have some options for doing this.
Shoot us a message at owl@birdhousehq.com if you’d like to change the name of your category and/or any other details.

9. Safeguards
10.NotesTo make a grid & be able to add data at ur fingertips. This would be a great Tool to have.
22 votesGreat suggestion!
We will keep these in mind as we continue to evolve the product.
I would love to see an example of what you mean by ‘make a grid and add data’. Do you already have something like this you’d like to be able to do and update with Birdhouse that we could see? How do you do this system?
You can email us details at owl@birdhousehq.com -
I need to track poop and correlate with supplements and food.
It would be awesome to look at poop specifics, not just time/date, while also comparing it to supplements and/or food. We are working on healing my son's gut, so figuring out poop problems is the number one reason I use Birdhouse at this point. Also to monitor moods and reactions to supplements and foods, so having a broader range of moods would be helpful. I think you guys are working on that though...
8 votesWe are working on adding more options for how you track and evaluate Poop.
One new option would be to create a new category called something like Poop Status (or anything other than Poop) and then you could enter the different descriptions/common categories, like ‘small’ or ‘loose’, etc, whatever specifics you needed to measure separately.
If you have questions, please ask at owl@birdhousehq.com

Sensory issues
Sensory integration disorder and issues that comes with it.
35 votesYou can now use the category Sensory, either in your list or accessed by using ‘Something Else’
As you add different descriptions of sensory interventions or seeking behaviors or whatever details you are documenting, they will pre-populate.
Then you can graph them in reports, see total counts during different periods, get a review of them sent in your weekly and monthly email summaries, and more.
Let us know what you think and how we can make these more effective for you!

In the mood section, I would like to be able to select multiple moods as my son often is multiple moods in different instances.
Option to select multiple moods in one post.
9 votesAbsolutely! Great idea.
This is definitely on our list. We have a few other big things in line ahead of it that I think you’re gonna like, but we will definitely get to this after that. We will update the status here as we get closer, so you know when it’s coming. -
Post photos.
We use a lot of visual feedback for my son. It would be great if I could post photos too.

Biweekly
Is it possible to add biweekly (every other week) to the" when: tab" for therapists? My daughter sees her OT every other week. Thanks!
