  1. I would like it if we could focus on a certain part of the day during reports.

For example, if I notice a lot of things happening from 1-3, I would like to be able to "zoom" into that time so I can see what all is going on and not be overwhelmed by everything else on the report. I can choose the date range, yes, but I would also like to choose the range for the Y-axis. :)

  2. Weekend column a different color on the timeline.

To help identify patterns of behavior as they correlate to weekends vs weekdays please make the weekend column a different color.

  3. Simple Report Types (for me) and more so for my Kid's Doctor

    1. Export is NOT working for me. Sure I can export to excel and also to word..BUT..unfortunately it just shows formatting errors. Much better to export into a .pdf which can then be emailed to my kid's therapist?. 2 Better still, if the export could create a LINK which the therapist could click and view the report generated by me? 3. Can we do line graphs and piecharts..yeah not as cool as funny face icons, but great for Left brain types :-(

  4. I need to track poop and correlate with supplements and food.

It would be awesome to look at poop specifics, not just time/date, while also comparing it to supplements and/or food. We are working on healing my son's gut, so figuring out poop problems is the number one reason I use Birdhouse at this point. Also to monitor moods and reactions to supplements and foods, so having a broader range of moods would be helpful. I think you guys are working on that though...

We are working on adding more options for how you track and evaluate Poop.

One new option would be to create a new category called something like Poop Status (or anything other than Poop) and then you could enter the different descriptions/common categories, like ‘small’ or ‘loose’, etc, whatever specifics you needed to measure separately.

If you have questions, please ask at owl@birdhousehq.com

  5. Don't use military time on report

I have had to really stay on top of my son's sleeping pattens this past month. The Report feature has been a HUGE tool to sharing that information with doctors. EXCEPT, when they ask, "what time did he go to bed?" I check my report and say "19:45pm" (LOL). Then I do the quick conversion in my head and say "7:45pm" The idea of the "report" is to NOT have to "think" because Birdhouse has done all of the "thinking" for me. It's a minor flaw, but it would help. Just a suggestion.

  6. The MOOD graph is useless, here's why..

Every "MOOD" has a HAPPY face. So, for example, when you want to see a Report of your childs moods for the week, he looks pretty darn "happy" all the time. You really need to change the emoicons to different faces other than just a smiley face. Otherwise, the reports graph is completly useless.

    Absolutely.
This is a challenging one. We used to have different faces for the moods and it was great and really fun. As we started adding more moods, it took a lot longer to add them if we wanted to have matching faces for each one. We decided that, for the time being, it would be better to add new mood options faster and eliminate the faces issue until we could handle it more efficiently.

Have you clicked the ‘Show Advanced Filters’ checkbox, yet?
It’s not a perfect solution, but this will give you another chart that will allow you to show/hide the specific mood types, so you could include only positive or negative ones on the graph, or only a specific mood, and this would allow you to know what the smily face represents, for the time being.

Or you can scroll down to the Data table and check…

  7. Put two Activity types on the chart and see how they relate to each other

If you have a problem with Poop or potty training and want to see what you can do to handle it better, one idea would be to put Poop on the chart and see what times it usually happens and/or what days it usually happens. Is there any kind of pattern that you didn't know?
Perhaps put another activity type up and see if there is any kind of relationship. Maybe they always poop within 30-40 minutes after a nap, or after a therapy?

You could try similar things with other problem areas, or other successes, to see how you…

  8. It all looks great to me re. report

I like the idea how I can choose what I would like to have included in the report and also how it shows up in the top graph. Good idea, in that case one can see at what times in the day meltdowns occur usually, but in my case the graph does not seem to reflect the true time of the event, otherwise displayed correctly in the report at the end.
