We agree, this feature is very important and is something we are currently working to provide. We’ll update this as we make progress on it.

You can now use the category Sensory, either in your list or accessed by using ‘Something Else’
As you add different descriptions of sensory interventions or seeking behaviors or whatever details you are documenting, they will pre-populate.
Then you can graph them in reports, see total counts during different periods, get a review of them sent in your weekly and monthly email summaries, and more.
Let us know what you think and how we can make these more effective for you!

I agree. The reporting and graphics display options, which allow parents to see correlations, make Birdhouse Premium unbeatable compared to any of the other apps out there.

You are totally right!
It is on the list. We will keep you posted on when it should be updated.Michelle commented
I'm not sure whether you plan to ever translate Birdhouse into other languages---but if so, you may want to leave it in, in the form of an option to toggle between the two formats (e.g., 7:45 p.m. or 19.45). Here in Germany, people use the 24-hour clock most of the time (no pun intended) and you'll basically never see a.m./p.m. in apps!

Absolutely.
This is a challenging one. We used to have different faces for the moods and it was great and really fun. As we started adding more moods, it took a lot longer to add them if we wanted to have matching faces for each one. We decided that, for the time being, it would be better to add new mood options faster and eliminate the faces issue until we could handle it more efficiently.Have you clicked the ‘Show Advanced Filters’ checkbox, yet?
It’s not a perfect solution, but this will give you another chart that will allow you to show/hide the specific mood types, so you could include only positive or negative ones on the graph, or only a specific mood, and this would allow you to know what the smily face represents, for the time being.Or you can scroll down to the Data table and check…

I love Amy Cook's idea to use colors for the moods! Even more awesome would be a whole spectrum of colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple---with the ability to put my own label on each color.
Reason: Some parents might be like a friend of mine, for whom *everything* has its own specific color..so it would be considerate if the mood-color relation is not predefined. And perhaps more important, about 4-5% of people are (e.g., red-green) color blind and will appreciate the flexibility that would allow them to choose which colors to use/omit.
Thanks for everything you're doing!

Great suggestion/feedback.
We are working on a wonderful version of this that I think you are going to love.
In the meantime, one detail that might help you;
In the Reports section, if you select Other and the click the checkbox below that says ‘Show Advanced Filters’, there will be a chart that shows your various types of Other, and you could select just one or two specific ones you wanted graphed/included in your export data, like ‘Poop accident’
I hope this helps.
We can’t wait to see how you like the new stuff we are working on.Michelle supported this idea ·

Maybe this could be combined with the "Tracking Medical Symptoms" feature request by Jen Pike...?
